Greg Olson, M.S., Sr. Product Specialist for Industrial Hygiene and Respiratory Protection, TSI, Incorporated
First responders at the federal, state and local levels are on the front lines providing service, protection, and support to their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. To assist first responders in conducting activities as safely and efficiently as possible, Greg Olson, Sr. Global Product Specialist for Industrial Hygiene and Respiratory Protection at TSI and Bobby Halton, Editor in Chief at Fire Engineering, will discuss respiratory protection and respirator fit testing.
This webcast will:
- Address why respirator fit testing is more important than ever for the safety and health of first responders.
- Explain what OSHA’s recommendations are for fit testing during the COVID-19 pandemic and why it is essential to fit test, especially with the N95 respirator shortage.
- The discussion will also touch on the benefits of quantitative vs. qualitative fit testing for filtering facepieces like N95s.
- Finally, it will outline recently shortened OSHA-accepted fit test protocols and how you can improve fit testing in your respiratory protection program during this outbreak and in the future.
