Big Fire – Big Water
One of the keys to successfully extinguishing a large-scale fire is developing a sufficient water supply system/operation and applying high-volume streams to the seat of the fire.
This webcast will discuss topics including:
- Determining high-volume flow requirements.
- Design elements of high-volume water supply systems (water system planning including pressurized and static sources, high-volume distribution equipment, preplanning for high volume operations, etc.).
- Design elements of portable equipment systems (apparatus, portable pump, hose systems, and high-volume distribution devices).
- The overall implementation process for these elements.
Viewers will get a review of systems and operations that have been successfully implemented during actual incidents. This program will also help attendees develop the “big flows” for the big fires.
