At approximately 0052 hours, a reported structure fire in FS66’s first in was reported at the intersection of Normandie and 54th St. for TF66, LF33, E46, E57, RA66, RA866, and B13.

TF66 arrived on scene at a corrected address west of 54th and Normandie to find a single story single family dwelling with heavy fire to the front of the structure and a bravo exposure of another single story single family beginning to take off.

E46 initiated fire attack with E66 backing up, LF66 going to the roof, and B13 assuming the 54th St. IC.

Unconfirmed reports of possible entrapment were called false after the homeowner was found safe at the back of the structure, however an additional ALS rescue was requested (RA46).

The bulk of the fire was quickly knocked down however the bravo exposure became more involved after the fire began to run the attic. LF21, EMS11, BC11 and CM22 were requested however only the latter was kept.

E66 with E33 backing up started a line inside the bravo exposure with LF33 going to the roof.

Shortly before knockdown, the initial structure suffered a roof collapse however no FF’s were injured.

Knockdown was called in 26 minutes with two homes left severely damaged. The homeowner was treated and transported to the hospital.

Because of the circumstances, Arson will be investigating. 4.12.21
