South Metro Fire Rescue,

“On Tuesday February 2, 2021 just before 8:30 a.m., South Metro responded to a rope rescue at a construction site near the intersection of Pine Ln. and Twenty Mile Rd. in Parker. When Tower 45 arrived on scene, firefighters made contact with an injured person located inside a trench box. Crews immediately began setting up for a high angle rescue using ropes, a backboard and the aerial in order to get the patient out safely. Firefighters were able to secure the person on the backboard, lift them out of the trench and onto a pram to be further assessed by crews on scene. The person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Thank you to Parker Police Department for support on this incident.”
