Tennessee Firefighters Rescue Horses Trapped in Barn Collapse

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tennessee – FOX 17 reports that firefighters had to rescue horses trapped when snow caused the roof of their barn to collapse.

Williamson County Rescue Squad personnel and Franklin firefighters responded to to call on South Berry’s Chapel Road on Thursday and found a complete collapse of the structure.

The Williamson County Animal Control and the Tennessee Equine Hospital also responded to the scene.

A drone was deployed to give a 360-degree view of the scene before rescue work began.

Crews were able to cut a path into the structure and stabilize it as they moved in.

Four horses were rescued from the collapse.

One horse had a minor injury and the others were uninjured.
