Seattle Firefighters Rescue Man Trapped in Basement of Burning Home

SEATTLE – Seattle firefighters responded to a house fire and report of a person trapped on Monday evening, as reported by KOMO News.

Firefighters were dispatched to the 1400 block of 25th Avenue after 11:00 p.m.

Firefighters arrived to see a significant fire and downed power lines.

Three occupants had been able to escape but one was trapped in the basement.

Firefighters gained access to the basement by cutting window bars and bars at the basement entrance.

The trapped occupant was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
