GREEN BAY, Wisconsin – The Green Bay Press Gazette reports that Green Bay firefighters rescued four people in an apartment fire Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded to an apartment fire and report of people trapped on the third floor at 5:00 a.m.

Firefighters saw people at a window when they arrived.

Two adults and two children were rescued over a ladder and transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Fire officials say the occupants were asleep in their bedrooms and that closed bedroom doors helped make the rescue a success.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
