Reports Monday afternoon of a woman hanging from a 30-foot beachside cliff were all for naught, as the “victim” turned out to be a mannequin left behind from a movie shoot.
Emergency crews from multiple agencies responded around 3:45 p.m. yesterday to numerous Good Samaritans’ calls of a woman hanging from a cliff. A drone, engines, trucks, and even a UTV showed up for the rescue.
“Better to call than not!” a Santa Barbara County Fire Department official said on Twitter.
