WHEELING, West Virginia — The city council in Wheeling has voted to spend money for additional thermal imaging cameras for the fire department, according to WTOV9.

An ordinance was passed allowing for the spending of just under $78,000 for nine new cameras.

The department currently has three.

Wheeling Fire Chief Larry Helms told WTOV9 that the purchase approval allows the department to have a camera on every engine in the city.
