USFA: Colorado On-Duty Death

Technician Jeffrey Billingsley, 42, of the Denver (CO) Fire Department.

Suffered an apparent cardiac arrest while on duty. He was taken the hospital for treatment, but he did not regain consciousness.

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Technician Jeffrey Billingsley, 42, of the Denver (CO) Fire Department on September 20, 2021.

On Sept. 20, 2021, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Technician Jeffrey Billingsley suffered an apparent cardiac arrest while on duty. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment by emergency room staff, but he did not regain consciousness and was pronounced deceased at approximately 4:00 p.m.
