Burns was reported missing on Wednesday
MANCHESTER, New Hampshire – The New Hampshire Union Leader has reported on the death of Manchester Fire Department Assistant Chief Brendan Burns.
Assistant Chief Burns was reported missing by his family on Wednesday according to a statement from the fire department.
“After a brief investigation he was located by local authorities and we are grateful for their efforts,” the news release said. “We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the members of the Manchester Fire Department as we mourn his loss. We kindly ask that you respect the Burns’ family privacy at this time.”
No further information was made available.
Burns, 45, joined the fire department on March, 11, 1996. He was promoted to assistant chief on September 29, 2019.
