Indiana Fire Departments Adding Ballistic Vests, Helmets

Brownsburg Fire Territory became the latest to adopt the additional protective gear, purchasing 30 vests and helmets, Fox 59 reports. The department is not alone, its public information officer said; many departments are discussing the issue after last year’s riots and the recent workplace shooting at FedEx’s in Indianapolis.
