100+ Firefighters Challenge Chicago COVID Vaccine Mandate

More than 100 firefighters in the City of Chicago filed suit in federal court to stop the implementation of the city’s mandate that they show proof of vaccination against COVID-19.

The lawsuit, which is joined by other city workers, argues that the city mandate to report vaccination status exceeds the city’s authority, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Earlier this week, the city reported than 28 percent of firefighters in the city faced disciplinary action for either failing get vaccinated of to report vaccination status.
