The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Firefighter/Paramedic John Clay Gaddy, 48, of Forest Park (GA) Fire and Emergency Services on September 2, 2021.

While on duty, Firefighter/Paramedic John Clay Gaddy contracted COVID-19 at the fire station. He passed away from the virus on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021. Firefighter/Paramedic Gaddy was posthumously promoted to Deputy Fire Marshal.
