Resilient in Wisconsin

Connected, stronger, thriving

(DHSWI, YouTube)

DHSWI – In Wisconsin, we’ve seen the devastating effects trauma can have on the lives of first responders. Chronic, toxic stress can overwhelm their ability to cope, leading to higher-than-average rates of sleep deprivation, harmful substance use and suicidal behaviors.

This must change. This can change, when first responders have the support to speak openly about their mental and emotional health. And when they have the tools to strengthen their own resilience and ask for help. Together, we can help keep Wisconsin’s first responders connected, stronger, thriving.

It’s okay to ask for help: resilient.wisconsin.gov
