Responded to an EMS call with a patient with a known case of COVID-19. He subsequently contracted the virus and passed away.

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Fire Chief Randy Miner, 57, of the Mary Ann Township (OH) Fire Department on September 26, 2021.

On Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, Fire Chief Randy Miner responded to an EMS call with a patient with a known case of COVID-19.  He subsequently contracted the virus and passed away on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021.
