
84-year-old Manassa Firefighter Harold Cordova died of a heart attack Sunday after responding to his last fire call.
Cordova joined the Manassa Fire Department when he was 18, and also served on the Conejos County Fire Board.
Cordova responded to a controlled burn that had gotten out of control Sunday in Romeo shortly after 2 p.m. He died after he left the scene after telling others he was not feeling well.
