Firefighter/Paramedic Matthew “Bear” Michael Rominger, 48, passed away on Sunday, May 16 due to complications from COVID-19.

Contracted COVID-19 while on a medical call from a patient with a known case of the virus

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Firefighter/Paramedic Matthew “Bear” Michael Rominger, 48, of Mountain Warfare Fire Department on May 16, 2021.

On Sunday, May 16, 2021, Rominger passed away from complications due to COVID-19 he contracted on a medical call.
