Winston-Salem (NC) Firefighter Shot, Police Seeking Leads

A Winston-Salem firefighter and a civilian were shot today in the parking lot of a restaurant.

The incident happened at 2:26 p.m. in the parking lot of Kermit’s Hot Dog House at at 2200 Thomasville Rd.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. The firefighter, described by police as an on-duty firefighter, was in stable condition The other victim is in critical condition.

Police were seeking leads in the case from the public.
