Every year for the last 14 years the West Pittston Hose Company has sold Valentine’s Day flowers to raise money for equipment and operations. 2022 was no different.
The department expected to go through 800 dozen flowers in the three-day event. For the first time, the department had to raise prices because the price of flowers has gone up. So two dozen pastel roses cost $30 this year, PA Homepage reports.
The good news for the department? It’s already sold out.
