Video: Times Square Manhole Fires Send New Yorkers, Tourists Scrambling

A power cable failure caused loud booms and an underground fire around 7 o’clock Sunday evening in Times Square that spooked New Yorkers and visiting tourists.

No injuries were reported in the incident, which did disrupt commerce in the area of the booms..
