
People trapped on third floor

DUBUQUE, Iowa — Three people were rescued from an apartment fire Monday, according to the Telegraph Herald and KWWL.
Firefighters responded to the call at 11st Street and Main Street just after 12:00 p.m.
Dubuque Fire Chief Rick Steins told reporters that the fire was on the first floor and smoke in the stairwell led to some occupants being trapped on the third floor.

Chief Steins said that one person went out a window on the third floor in the rear and onto the roof of an adjoining building.
Another person was rescued over a ground ladder in the front as shown in the Telegraph Herald video.

Three occupants were transported to area hospitals for smoke inhalation.
The Red Cross is assisting with those who are displaced.
