Video captured a Miami firefighter punching a handcuffed patient in a hospital in October after the patient spat at him.
The City of Miami Department of Fire Rescue said the firefighter involved has been suspended while the department carries out its investigation into the incident, WSVN reports.
The incident happened when the man in the video was arrested and then requested medical care. While at the hospital the the fight broke out. The patient, who is on a stretcher, can be seen shouting at the firefighter.
Shortly after the patient spits, the firefighter punches him several times before being restrained by other first-responders.
