Video: Watch Firefighters Pull MI Man from Wreck Just Seconds Before Train Slams into It

The Portage Department of Public Safety released video showing firefighters pulling a driver from an overturned Jeep just seconds before a train slammed into it.

The accident happened around 6:20 a.m. on Friday morning. Two vehicles collided at Shaver Road and W. Centre Avenue, leaving one vehicle in the intersection and a Jeep rolled on its side by the railroad tracks with a victim inside, WOOD TV reports.

As firefighters tended to the victim, who was suffering from back pains and could not extricate himself, the warning lights on the train crossing sign began flashing.

Firefighters hurriedly dragged the driver to safety, just seconds before the train hit the vehicle, sending it spinning down the track.

The accident remains under investigation.
