Vancouver Firefighters Rescue Driver Trapped in Freight Elevator

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Vancouver firefighters rescued a driver trapped in a vehicle inside a freight elevator at an auto dealership.

The Vancouver Sun reports that firefighters responded to the Audi Dealership on West 3rd Avenue at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday and found a driver trapped inside damaged vehicle, stuck in the elevator used to move vehicles in and out of the building.

City News Vancouver showed a photo of how the car landed inside the elevator shaft.

The car was pinned in the elevator nose down.

Firefighters were able to extricate the driver, who was then transported to hospital in serious condition.
