San Benito fire chief dies due to COVID-19

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Chief Danny Watkins, 67, of the San Benito Fire Department on January 12, 2021.

Chief Danny Watkins contracted COVID-19 while on-duty. He passed away from the virus on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
