USFA: Georgia On-Duty Death

Responded to a possible cardiac arrest during which the patient had COVID-19. Subsequently contracted the virus and passed away.

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Firefighter/EMT Timothy Watson, 48, of Barrow County (GA) Emergency Services on August 15, 2021.

Firefighter/EMT Timothy Watson responded to a possible cardiac arrest where numerous individuals, including the patient, had COVID-19. Firefighter/EMT Watson subsequently contracted the virus and passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
