The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Chief Daryl “Taddy” Drusch, 49, of the Howard Lake Fire Department on January 13, 2020.

On Sunday, January 12, 2020, late in the evening, Chief Daryl “Taddy” Drusch responded to an EMS call for a car submerged in ice. Early Monday morning, January 13, 2020, he suffered an apparent heart attack at his home and was rushed to the hospital where he passed away.
