USFA: Indiana Firefighter Fatally Struck by Train

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Firefighter Richard Rehm, 55, of the McCordsville Volunteer Fire Department on December 24, 2016

While responding to an early morning alarm call, Firefighter Rehm’s privately owned vehicle became stuck on an active railroad crossing. A short time later, Rehm was struck and killed by a passing train.
