USFA: Idaho On-Duty Death

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Senior Firefighter/Driver Engineer Charles Alan Ruffing,  53, of the Boise Fire Department.

Senior Firefighter/Driver Engineer Charles Ruffing, who had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, was found deceased in Boise Fire Department Station 6 as a result of a suicide.

Fatality status is provisional and may change as USFA contacts State Fire Marshals to verify fatality incident information.
