NEW YORK — The FDNY is in mourning over the loss of two retired firefighters on Friday.

CBS New York reports that Firefighter Richard Jones and Lieutenant Paul Deo Jr. both died due to 9/11-related illnesses.

Jones served the department for 20 years and had retired in October 2002.

Deo Jr. served the department for 33 years.

Both died on Friday.
