Two Kids, 11 and 14, Charged with Theft of Louisiana Fire Truck

Two juveniles stole a a $204,000 brush truck from Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District 10, according to the county sheriff.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the firehouse in the 100 block of Louisiana Highway 485 at about 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18 after the truck was discovered missing, KSLA reports.

The thieves made off with the vehicle but got it stuck behind an abandoned house off state Highway 3191. The Sheriff’s Office tested the truck for DNA and fingerprint evidence, and identified the two juvenile susects.

The pair have been charged with burglary, theft of a fire truck and simple criminal damage to property.
