Two Albany (GA) Firefighters Injured in Accident at Student’s Funeral

During the funeral service for Worth County High School student Trenton Melton, two Albany firefighters were injured in a chain reaction accident at the Antioch Baptist Church parking lot in Sylvester.

Trenton Melton, the son of firefighter Casey Melton, was being honored by many in the firefighting community who came to support the grieving family, WALB reports.

The injured firefighters, Battalion Chief Ricky Thompson and Captain Danny Hancock, were airlifted to Tallahassee, Florida, for medical treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.
