Survivability Profiling Takes a Hit

With fire venting out three windows and in full possession of one room and extending, the first due truck entered the fire apartment and while using the can to protect the search, pushed back fire that was rolling across the ceiling and rescued a victim just feet away from the fulling involved room.

The victim survived with no deficits.

This is the story from August of 2017 in Seattle, Washington. A fully prepared truck company operating with the proper mindset defied the concepts of survivability profiling and went to work, rescued a civilian from seemingly un-survivable conditions.

All the data and research shouldn’t alter or diminish your commitment to those you swore to serve. Our safety comes from preparation and training so that when we go to work we can have the same impact that Seattle Fire did on Denny Way.

Your mindset should focus on getting into survivable spaces and searching. Daily we read about fire victims surviving in places that if profiled, we should have never entered.

Expect Fire and Expect Victims.
