QUEENS, New York — Three men are dead following a fire in Queens shortly after midnight according to CBS New York.

The FDNY responded to the fire on Farmers Boulevard in the St. Albans neighborhood in Queens.

Firefighters found three men inside the abandoned house as well as fire in the basement extending into the first floor.

The online forum NYCFire.net stated that a mayday was transmitted for one firefighter who fell through the floor and into the basement during operations.

The firefighter was listed as okay on the forum.

Officials told PIX11 that one man was found on the first floor and the other two on the second floor.

Four firefighters were injured fighting the blaze and transported to a hospital for treatment.

Neighbors told CBS New York that they had seen people going in and out of the house.

Records from the Department of Buildings show several complaints about the property from illegal conversions to squatters.
