Late Season Ice and Snow Take Out Spokane (WA) Fire Engine

A Spokane fire truck skidded on icy roads and flipped on its side early Friday morning.

The accident happened just after 5 a.m. when firefighters were traveling north on Highway 395 responding to another accident caused by the late-season snow and ice. As the driver tried to slow the fire truck he lost control. The truck slid across the northbound lanes before tipping, KHQ reports.

There were two crewmembers in the vehicle. Both of them are alright but were taken to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.
