Slap in the Face: Thieves Steal $10,000 of Equipment from Jena (AL) Fire Department

Thieves broke into the Jena Volunteer Fire Department fire station in Greene County and made off with $10,000 worth of equipment, much of it made possible by grant funding.

A power inverter, batteries from power extraction-rescue tools and a chain saw were among the gear that was stolen, WVUA reports. The Greene County sheriff is investigating the case.
