Six Hurt in Crash with FDNY Fire Engine

BRONX, New York — CBS New York reports that six people were injured when a fire engine and a car collided early Wednesday morning in the Bronx.

The crash happened at approximately 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of East 161st Street and Tinton Avenue in the Melrose neighborhood.

Police told CBS New York that the fire engine was responding to a fire when it was T-boned by a livery cab.

Four firefighters and two civilians were injured. All of the victims are expected to be okay

Investigators are working to determine who was at fault.
