Six Firefighters Hurt Battling- Queens (NY) Warehouse Fire

Six firefighters were injured, one of them seriously, battling warehouse fire on Wednesday in Astoria, Queens.

The fire started at about 10 a.m. at 31st Street between 34th and 35th avenues. Heavy fire was showing when firefighters arrived.

The warehouse was filled by air conditioning units stacked from floor to ceiling, and the heavy fire load made the fire a difficult one.

One firefighter was hospitalized in serious condition.
