Sewage Truck Flips, Dumps Nearly 200 Gallons of Waste on Richmond (VA) Road

A sewage truck flipped over and spilled about 200 gallons of waste in the road Wednesday afternoon in Richmond (VA).

The Richmond Fire Department responded to 470 Tredegar St. for a traffic collision at 1:18 p.m. yesterday. When crews arrived they found the overturned sewage truck with the driver uninjured.

The road onto which the sewage was spilled has pathways to the James River. The fire department’s hazmat team contained the mess until cleanup crews arrived, and the incident was marked under control at 2:58 p.m.
