Seven Dead in Hartland (WI) Apartment Building Fire; Arson Investigation Started

Seven people died in a fire that swept through a four-family apartment building in Hartland Friday morning.

The fire was reported at 5:10 a.m. on Mansfield Court in Hartland.

First responding crews were met with a large volume of fire and began immediately rescuing people from the building and balconies on the building.

15 fire departments and 9 police departments responded to the scene. The police have opened a criminal investigation into the fire.
