Roof Work at Rochester Apartment Fire

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) – Four people were injured, including three firefighters, at a fire in a building on Monroe Avenue Wednesday morning.

The fire started around 4:15 a.m. on Monroe Avenue near Shepard Street, located close to I-490.

People living in the building were awakened by the smoke alarms just after 4 a.m. Wednesday. Firefighters rescued several people via windows; others took the fire escape. MORE
