Driver extricated from truck after crashing into a semi

ONSCENE TV – 10.04.2019 | 5:20 PM | RIALTO – Firefighters freed a driver who was trapped in their truck after a dramatic crash involving a semi-truck, Friday evening.

Authorities responded to reports of traffic collision with one person trapped in the 500 block of West Slover Avenue around 5:20 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a dramatic crash involving a pickup truck that had rear-ended a semi-truck with the driver of the pickup trapped.

Crews used the jaws of life and other power tools to free the driver of the pickup within 15 minutes.

Miraculously the driver survived the initial impact and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

All directions of Slover Avenue were closed until further notice while authorities investigated the crash.
