After an eight-year NFL career as a safety with the Philadelphia Eagles and three other teams, Nate Allen decided to join North Collier Fire Control and Rescue.
Scheduled to complete his training on December 16, Allen joined the department in the county where he was born and raised to serve his community, WINK reports.
