ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis firefighter was injured during a rescue Wednesday morning, as reported by KMOV4.

Firefighters responded to a fire in an abandoned duplex in the Kingsway West neighborhood.

Officials say they believe the woman went into the duplex and may have started the fire for warmth.

She was treated on the scene by EMS personnel.

The firefighter had a burn injury to his hand was transported to a hospital.
