Teen trapped inside burning house

NORWOOD, Massachusetts — Norwood firefighters rescued a teenager trapped in a house fire on Tuesday afternoon.

Boston 25 News reported that firefighters responded to the fire on Nahatan Street at approximately 2:00 p.m.

Norwood police officer Kevin McDonough spotted the fire and called it in.

Fire on the porch extended into the first floor and trapped the teen on the stairwell.

In a Facebook post, the Norwood Fire Department said firefighters from Ladder 1 were able to remove the teen while firefighters from Engine 3 knocked down the bulk of the fire.

The teenager was treated on the scene.
