Rash of Burglaries Target FL Fire Stations

Thieves have targeted eight fire stations in Orange County and Seminole County in recent days.

The stations have been hit by burglars who target firefighters’ personal vehicles that are in the station parking lots during their shifts..

Wallets, ID cards, ammunition, and other personal belongings have all been taken by thieves who apparently know the cars are easy targets when firefighters are busy on their shift.

“All the guys and girls effected are very frustrated,” Seminole Firefighter’s Union President Joe Divita told WKMG. “They come to work to do a job and they want to help the community and the citizens. They’re ready to go home in the morning, and they go out to their vehicles and this is what they find.”
