2nd Alarm

Location: 113th Street off of Atlantic Avenue, Queens.

Saturday evening Queens dispatchers called Squad 270 and redirect them to a reported house fire with people trapped. Some of the 911 calls had even reported the fire spreading into the neighboring house.

Engine 294 arrived first and confirmed a working fire by transmitting a 10-75.

Battalion 51 arrived after and transmitted a second-alarm when it was confirmed the fire had spread to the neighbor’s house.

Unfortunately the reports of people trapped turned out to be true. One person was removed by the Fire Department and handed to EMS with life threatening injuries.
