Cobb County police have made an arrest in the murder of Cherokee County Firefighter Timothy Justin Hicks and his wife, Amber Hicks. Both were 31. The couple was found dead from gunshot wounds in Acworth on Thursday morning. The couple’s toddler was home but was not hurt.
Matthew Lanz, 22, a neighbor of the couple was arrested by police for a robbery. He stabbed a police officer during the arrest and police shot and injured him. Police then linked Lanz with the murder of the Hicks, 11 Alive reports.
