Pennsylvania Firefighter Struck While Directing Traffic

Firefighter struck by a semi in Venango County

VENANGO COUNTY, Pennsylvania – The Butler Eagle reports that a firefighter was struck while on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Venango County Thursday morning.

Pennsylvania State Police said the initial accident occurred in the westbound lanes of I-80 between Exit 45 and Exit 42.

The firefighter was doing traffic control when he was struck by a semi-truck.

The injured firefighter was transported to Grove City Medical Center.

There was now word on the condition of the injured firefighter or how the incident occurred.
